Dublin, OH– The Conway Center for Family Business has named IGS Energy as the recipient of their 2013 Community Engagement award. This category recognizes family businesses that have made a significant contribution to the Central Ohio community.
“Since its founding, IGS Energy has been committed to supporting the communities, organizations and people of Central Ohio,” said Scott White, CEO and President of IGS Energy. “As a company, we sponsor a range of organizations that include the arts and sciences, cancer research and education programs. In addition, our employees donate their time and energy to help many charitable and civic initiatives throughout the year.”
IGS Energy was recognized for contributions to Junior Achievement of Central Ohio, an organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. Through monetary donations and volunteerism, the company also supports various other community organizations such as American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, American Heart Association and the MidOhio Foodbank.
The Conway Center for Family Business has been recognizing and celebrating the success of more than 120 Central Ohio family businesses of all sizes since 1999.
